Puerto Ricans are AMERICANS living in AMERICA and they are politically disenfranchised by the federal government refusing to admit them into the union as a full state despite their four referendums in favor of statehood.
We need to stop treating our fellow Americans as less American just because the Feds are politicking with their right to representation.
When I was a kid, I thought those pillars went down to the sea floor.
In reality, they usually go down to some large submerged floats.
I dislike this.
Pillars and floats like that are pretty stable, compared to regular boats, so there’s even a research vessel, called FLIP, that purposefully capsizes itself to be more steady when conducting research.
Wow, it’s almost like they were dangerous criminals who should have stayed locked up.
And that the man who pardoned them did so knowing they would continue to terrorize the opposition for him, just like they did that day.
Anyway, this is another reminder that Donald Tr*mp is, among many other crimes, an insurrectionist; that he attacked the most fundamental basis of democracy, the rule of law, and functional society, that being the peaceful transfer of power; that he thereby committed the most profound possible betrayal of his oath of office; that the 14th Amendment, Section Three of the US Constitution disqualifies an official who broke their oath of office by engaging in insurrection from holding various offices; that three states sought to remove him from ballots as such; that multiple courts found him to be such; that the Supreme Court (a third of which was nominated by him and a majority of which were politically aligned with him) did not overturn the finding that he committed insurrection, but just made up some non-existent law that was neither in the text of the Constitution or legal precedent to say only a vote by Congress could disqualify (never mind that a majority of Congress did vote to impeach and convict him for January 6th- just not quite the 60 votes needed for conviction in the Senate). And that therefore he is not a legitimate President, but a usurper, and any act done by him in office, or by anyone nominated by him, is illegitimate and illegal and Constitutionally void, and every official and public servant who followers his orders, including every member of our armed forces, is in violation of any oaths they took to uphold the Constitution.
